Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

VCCS Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy for Financial Aid. The following is effective July 1, 2011. Students will be evaluated using these st和ards. 请仔细阅读政策，以便您了解获得经济援助的要求.

1. 学生资助状况

Quantitative St和ards or Pace of Completion

2. Maximum Hours (150% Rule): In order to continue receiving financial aid, 学生必须在修满该课程所需学分的150%之前完成该课程的学习. Developmental 和 ESL course work are excluded in this calculation. Attempted credits from 所有 enrollment periods at the College plus 所有 accepted transfer credits are counted; whether or not the student received financial aid for those terms is of no consequence.

Additional Considerations for Quantitative or Pace of Completion St和ards

3. REGAINING ELIGIBILITY FOR 金融援助

   Unless extenuating circumstances exist 和 an appeal is granted (see “IV. Appeals” for additional information), 被暂停经济援助的学生应该自费继续上课，直到再次达到令人满意的学业进步要求.

4. 上诉

   • Extenuating circumstances exist (i.e., student’s serious illness or accident; death, accident or serious illness in the immediate family; other mitigating circumstances), or

   Students appealing a suspension must:

   • Complete the College’s SAP Appeal Form in entirety,

   Appeals to Academic St和ards Committee:

   视情况而定, the student could be required to complete additional requirements (i.e., see a career counselor or another type of counselor, meet with an advisor to develop an academic progress plan for completion, 限制人数, 等.)，上诉才获批准. Appeals will be approved or denied based on the above criteria.
